Can you really blame Equius?
Thank you, finally.
Yeah, y'know, I never really thought about it because first impression was “Oh, Equius is controlling and he’s not letting her go have fun with her friends, what a dick,” and I didn’t rethink things once I saw that, hey, actually, those guys are fucking menaces and any decent friend would want to keep people whose welfare he cares about away from them.
I never cease to be amazed how misleading Equius’s first impression on the audience (or at least me) was without being in any way out of character.
